Soap & Glory No Clogs Allowed

Just when we thought that they couldn't possibly outdo themselves any more, Soap & Glory appear to have got it in the bag when it comes to launching skincare at the moment. I picked up the No Clogs Allowed Face Mask a couple of weeks ago, when my skin was extremely unhappy at approaching deadline stress and late nights in the library. I knew this had sent positive ripples through the blogosphere, so when I saw it on offer in the drugstore, I made it mine. And by jove, did it give my skin the detox it deserved...

'No Clogs Allowed' claims to deep cleanse, by melting away pore-clogging sebum and softening keratinised cells, which helps to prevent those dreaded break outs. True to say, this oil-emulsifying wonder product  is a blackhead's worst enemy and even after the first time I used it, I could see and feel a huge improvement in my skin. [Just bear in mind, that it's specially formulated for oily/combination skin, that is prone to black head and blemish build up and my review is based upon having combination skin myself.]

The mask is a deep cleansing, leave-on product, but also contains surface polishing micro-beads, which also gives it an exfoliating quality. A small amount of product is massaged onto your skin, until it turns from the pale, neutral colour it is in the tube, to a shade of blue. This then tells you to leave the mask to sit on your skin for five minutes, before removing the residue with a muslin cloth. Even this whole process itself, is innovative and completely refreshing for high street skincare. As soon as the clay product touches your skin, you feel a gorgeous heating sensation - what Soap & Glory call their '1 minute Hot Pore Clear Technology'. This is so therapeutic and actually really enjoyable! The exfoliating micro-beads aren't at all abrasive, yet you really feel like all those dead skin cells have vanished. Moreover, Glycerin is included within the formula, which helps retain moisture in your skin, leaving it feeling super soft and supple when you're finished - plus, the gorgeous mix of menthol and geranium leaves a delicious fragrance.

Finally, results. With a face mask, if you're seeing immediate results, then it goes straight onto the product short list and this, is instantly up there. My skin not only feels completely decongested after using this, but my pores also look tighter - particularly in black-head prone areas. According to Soap & Glory, a whopping 92% of people believed that this product deep cleansed their skin, and I am certainly on their side. It's not one for relaxing in a bath with, but if you struggle with problem skin, or even just have combination skin like me, that needs a real refresh once in a while, then this is for you. One of the best deep cleansing face masks I have ever used, and also one of the least expensive - hooray!

  3. Ooh, this sounds amazing for Oily / Combination skinned girls like us! I've been wanting to get the Sanctuary Spa Thermal Detox face mask for ages but I've heard some very good things about S & G facial skincare so after dabbling with their body products and makeup, I think it about time I tried some of their skincare and this is defiantly going on my wishlist! xox
