Skincare Routine April 2015

So it's a good while now since I spoke about skincare and my goodness, have things changed. This is going to be a hefty blog post, so please sit yourself down with a cuppa! However, I want to try and string it all together because I wish I had read something coherent, like I hope this is going to be, when I started becoming more aware of what I was putting on my face. I would have saved myself - and my skin - a lot of time, aggro and money. By no means am I any kind of expert and of course this is not definitive, it won't suit everyone. But after doing a lot of research, this is the current structure of my skincare routine and I really cannot sing its praises enough.

Candied Fruit And Nut Raw Chocolate

So if you haven't already indulged in enough of the stuff last Easter weekend, here's some more chocolate to ogle over. But really, this is the good stuff. Raw chocolate is made with three primary ingredients: cacao butter, raw cacao powder and pure maple syrup. It has no refined sugar and is jam packed full of antioxidants, magnesium and loads of b vitamins, so it's even going to give you some real goodness - when eaten in moderation! The recipe is super simple and perfect to satisfy those dreaded 4pm sugar cravings. But most importantly, it tastes so darn good.

Having A Spring Clean

Hey there, snazzy new blog design. What do you think? So after months now *wince* of a pretty bleak void on Beleza By Ems, tonight I've finally relaunched my website. I hope you will enjoy hovering your cursor over this and that to see which parts of the page do and don't fade in and out. I've gone all slick and responsive on you all. But rather than just plunging straight into my normal content, I feel like I want to sit down and write something a little bit prefatory and also take the opportunity to share some photos I took in Cornwall today. Gorgeous, aren't they?

Quick and Easy Quinoa Salad

Over the past few months I've been experimenting with different healthy foods and as a result, have come up with some recipes that I am now making more often than not! So, I hope you will enjoy the upcoming blog posts that have more of a lifestyle focus. First up, is my take on a Summer Superfood Salad. This recipe makes a perfect lunch for a warm summer day, or a fab a side dish at a BBQ. It's light, healthy, packed with protein and fibre and most importantly, flavour. It's such a simple recipe and once the quinoa is prepared, it takes minutes to put it all together.
